The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the ongoing screening of local government staff in Kaduna State which will fish out unqualified and fake employees.
Speaking to newsmen after visiting some local government areas in the state, the President of NULGE, Comrade Rayanu Isyaku Turunku, commended the state Ministry of Local Government and the Local Government Service Board for initiating the screening, which he said would restore confidence and sanity in the service.

While pledging the full support of the union to make the exercise a success, Com Turunku who was accompanied by state officials of the union, said the transparency of the exercise had cleared the earlier anxieties and fears of the staff that it was a witch-hunt.
He noted that the union had not received any complaint from members about the conduct of the exercise, saying, “I am highly impressed with the way and manner the screening committees are discharging their functions diligently.”
