The North Central Forum (NCF) has said a former governor of Nasarawa state, Senator Tanko Al-Makura, is the best candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairmanship.
The APC will elect its next national chairman and other members of the National Working Committee (NWC) at the end of the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee in June this year.

The publicity secretary of the forum, Abdulrahman Andoma Ahmad, in a statement on Wednesday, said the time has come for all party members and especially the youths to become active and more curious about the potential leadership of the APC.
According to the forum, Al-Makura has the capacity to resolve all the internal wrangling in the party and prepare it to retain power in 2023.
