The National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) has commenced the training of youths on how to design and develop automobiles digitally.
The training was flagged off in Sokoto with 30 youths drawn from the seven states of the northwest geopolitical zone.

The training is in collaboration with the with Midas IT Company of South Korea.
In his remarks, the Director General of the council, Jelani Aliyu, said the same training would be conducted in other geo-political zones of the country.
He said the two-week programme was aimed at opening opportunities for youths to make their lives, society and the country better.
“We have done many trainings in technical aspect of automotive concept and repairing them, now we are moving to the next level which is to empower these creative Nigerians to begin to be part of the research and development process of the automotive sector in Nigeria.
“The Midas NFX software will allow mechanical and automotive design and development digitally.
“So we hope to empower them to be in position of playing their role in the design and development of automobile and automotive components,” he said
He added that, at the end of the training they would be given set of tools.
