3 die in Ibadan as Hausa, Yoruba traders clash

There was tension Friday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital following the death of three people in the aftermath of a clash between some Hausa and Yoruba traders at the Sasa area of Akinyele Local Government.

The crisis, according to residents of the area, started on Thursday evening following an argument between Hausa man and a pregnant woman in the area.

Our correspondent gathered that a cobbler who tried to intervene in the ensuing argument was allegedly hit with a charm and he later died on Friday morning while receiving treatment.
