The Ag. Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Hilary Kelechi Madu, has charged personnel of the FCT command of NSCDC to embrace professionalism in the discharge of their constitutional mandate.
The Public Relations Officer of the NSCDC, DCC Olusola Odumosu, in a statement on Friday, said Madu gave the charge during a working visit to the command.
He disclosed that the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola had promised to assist the Corps in transforming the Agro-Rangers as well as support the adequate protection of the nation’s critical infrastructure and national assets so as to curb the incessant pipeline fire explosions.
Madu charged all officers and men to adhere to COVID-19 protocols, stressing that they should be in the vanguard of enforcing the COVID-19 protocols in Nigeria.
He also called on all personnel to redouble efforts in the discharge of their duties to justify the salary they earn monthly.
The FCT Commandant, Mathias Ohiemi, thanked the Acting Commandant General for his visit to the Command, promising that the command would ensure that its personnel always abide by the rules.
Meanwhile, the Acting CG has handed over two operational vehicles as well as motorcycles to Kubwa and Pyakassa divisions for optimal performance.
