Suspected sea pirates have continued to stage multiple attacks around the Gulf of Guinea in the last one week.
The insecurity in the Gulf of Guinea heightened in the last five days with attacks on four vessels and the abduction of an undisclosed number of crew on-board the ships.

Most of the attacks were said to have been carried out on the coast of Sao Tome and Principe north to Nigeria.

The pirates, according to Dryad Global, made its first attempted assault on a ship on Saturday, February 6, 2021 off the coast of Cameroon.
