The Director, Centre for China Studies (CCS), Charles Onunaiju, has said unless political parties in Nigeria are clearly and strictly governed, their capacities to govern the nation will be ‘doubtful’.
He disclosed this at an event to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nigeria and China.

Onunaiju said the political parties in Nigeria should tap from the experiences of the Chinese Communist Party to improve their capacity to govern.
“The Chinese Communist Party will be 100 years on July 21, 2021, and has made momentous marks.
“It wasn’t from the blues that the party has internal discipline, internal organisation, is well focused and theoretically robust. So, we can compare notes on party building from both sides. This is another frontier for strengthening China-Nigeria relations,” he said.
