Unidentified gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted Bala Baba, a special assistant to the Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Haruna Manu.
Daily Trust gathered that he was abducted on Monday midnight at his resident located at Sabon gari area in Jalingo, Taraba State capital.

The gunmen, numbering over 15, shot sporadically in different directions, forcing residents to flee the area for safety.
It was further gathered that the gunmen broke the gate of the victim’s house before gaining entrance into his room and took him to an unknown location.
A source close to his family told Daily Trust that no contact has been established with kidnappers yet.
The area where he was abducted has been experiencing incidents of kidnapping in recent time.
The spokesperson of Taraba Police command, ASP Leha Reform, confirmed the incident.
He said police patrol has been intensified in the area because of many incidents of kidnappings being recorded recently in the area.
“Investigation has started by police and efforts intensified to rescue the Deputy Governor’s aide,” he said.
