The Lebanese ambassador to Nigeria, Houssam Diab, has reiterated the commitment of the country to stop human trafficking.
The ambassador who made this known when he paid a courtesy call to the Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim on Friday.

He said the Lebanese government stopped the issuance of work permit visas as a preventative measure for Nigerians in particular to avoid irregular migration before a better solution can be reached.
The DG assured the ambassador of the collaboration of the Nigerian government in putting in place measures to ensure legal migration of Nigerians in the mutual interests of the countries.
Meanwhile, the DG had earlier visited the Executive Director of the Federal Housing Authority, Gbenga Bareehu Ashafa and the Minister of Agriculture, Sabo Nanono to ensure a robust partnership with all relevant government agencies.
