A 16-year old boy identified as John has been detained at the Isheri-Oshun Police Station in Lagos State for allegedly raping his neighbour’s five-year-old daughter.
John who lives with his parents at Jakoma Close, Ijegun, was said to have lured the girl to a corner behind their house with a promise that he was going to buy her biscuits.

Police said the teenager stripped the girl, inserted his fingers into her private part before having canal knowledge of her.
The police further said neighbours described the boy as a bully and that he had been making sexual advances at other girls in the neighbourhood.
The police added that the suspect was transferred to the gender section of the police command through the aid of a Non-Governmental Organisation, Women’s Rights and Health Project.
The boy risks several years of imprisonment if he is found guilty for charge despite his age in line with the laws of Lagos State.
A source at the gender section of the police command said he would soon be charged to court after the conclusion of investigation.
