Two children, Maryam Abubakar and Abdulkadir Abubakar, have died after consuming a concoction of traditional medicine.
Their mother, Sadiya Abubakar, is however unconscious and presently at a hospital receiving medical attention.
The incident happened on Tuesday at Kwarin Barke of Sabuwar Gandu in Kumbotso LGA of the state.
Confirming the incident, the spokesman of the state police command DSP Abdullahi Kiyawa said preliminary investigation by the police showed that a vessel containing a mixture and another containing pap were located beside the bodies in the room where they were found.
He said the trio might have drunk the concoction that led to their death and the unconscious condition of the mother.
The police is said to have since moved their corpses to the Infectious Diseases Hospital in the area where they were confirmed dead and open investigation into the matter.
