A businessman allegedly kidnapped at Odukpo village in Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State has been found dead.
Witnesses who gave the name of the late businessman as Okoh Enejo, alleged that the deceased was abducted last week while returning from a farm settlement located within the boundary rural vicinities of Ado and Okpokwu LGAs.

The witnesses said that the family of the businessman after negotiation had already paid the abductors a ransom of N2 million.
But, while expecting return of the victim, the corpse of Enejo was rather found around the forest area of the village he was said to be abducted.
Contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Catherine Anene, however said that the command received the information as rumour.
“The police received this as a rumor and have deployed a team to confirm this information. Further discoveries will be communicated to you,” Anene said.
