Gbajabiamila, Oyetola mourn Tony Momoh, condole Abike-Dabiri over mother’s death

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila, and the governor of Osun state, Adegboyega Oyetola have mourned the death of former minister of information and All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain, Prince Tony Momoh.

In a statement on Tuesday signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi, the Speaker described Momoh’s passing on as a sad development while Governor Oyetola saw it as a great loss to the country and the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC).

Momoh, who was a former minister of information under the Ibrahim Babangida regime died on Monday.

The Speaker said Momoh would be remembered for his selfless service and contribution to the development of the party and the country.

The Speaker sent his condolences to Momoh family, the people and Government of Edo State, praying God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, even as he prayed eternal rest for the soul of the late Momoh.

Governor Oyetola said late Momoh was a patriotic Nigerian and a progressive politician who served Nigeria selflessly and contributed immensely to nation building.

The two political leaders also condoled with Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa over the demise of her mother, Alhaja Sadiat Abeke Erogbogbo.
