Quit notice to herders: Ex-presidential candidate urges dialogue

The presidential candidate of the Democratic People’s Party in the 2019 general elections, Amb. Felix Osakwe, has stressed the need for dialogue in addressing the crisis in the southwest.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja Monday, he said the Federal Government should not use force in resolving the crisis caused by the vacation order issued to Fulani herdsmen in Igangan, Oyo State, by Sunday Igboho.

“There’s already a lot of tension in the air and considering how tenuous 2020 was for us all, it’s only appropriate that as we get on about building back better and rebuilding our economy, we don’t tear down what small wins we’ve recorded by inciting and perpetuating more conflicts, either explicitly or by complicity,” he said.
