Driver nabbed for defiling 4-year-old girl in Ogun

A driver with a private school at Ogijo area of Ogun State, identified as Michael Umble, has been arrested for allegedly defiling a 4-year-old girl.

Daily Trust gathered that the victim almost bled to death but for the prompt medical attention she received.

The girl’s mother reported the case at Ogijo Police Division when she noticed that her daughter was bleeding profusely from her private part.

The police said the little girl disclosed to her parents that it was her school bus driver that raped her.

Upon receipt of the complaint, the Divisional Police Officer assigned operatives to go after the suspect, who was arrested and detained at the station.

According to the police, the suspect confessed to have defiled the child.

The little girl was referred to hospital for medical examination and a doctor at the General Hospital confirmed that she was defiled.

The case has been transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.
