The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command, between Friday and Saturday, arrested 13 suspected traffic robbers in Oshodi and Ketu areas of the state.
The arrest followed intensified effort by the state command to mop-up criminals responsible for a series of attacks on motorists and commuters in traffic.

The arrests came at the heels of a 4-day surveillance on black spots in Oshodi and Alausa (Ketu) with a view to weeding out criminals in the areas.
It was gathered that the suspects, most of who pretended to be porters in Oshodi, abscond with travellers’ luggage at dawn and in the night.
It was also gathered that the suspects, some of who are still at large, attacked and robbed unsuspecting Lagosians, especially travellers and commuters, in the areas.
The suspects were apprehended by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) team led by the commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, between 10:45 pm on Friday and 4:30 am on Saturday at Oshodi Oke and Alausa, respectively.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the arrests gave the names of the suspects as Tinuola Ajibola, 18, Adeniji Farouk,16, Wale Ajetunmobi, 24, Chibueze Okasa,17, Taiwo Goodluck, 36, Sodiq Timileyin, 23, Salami Alex, 21, Umar Abubakar, 20, Micheal Iroaja, 36, Abba Mohammed, 20 and Mukaila Fasepe, 43.
Two other suspects, Saviour Nwoko (21) and Ayomide David (19) were caught in the act by the team, at different locations, with a machete and stolen phones in Alausa Lagos.
He said David, alias Sharwama, one of the suspects, is an ex-convict and had confessed to the police that his gang used to operate along Olowopopo Road, Ojodu and Ojota.
