Katsina youths dialogue on business ventures

AYID Foundation, with support from the Youth Entrepreneurship Support Hub (YesHub), has organised the first Katsina Youth Dialogue on Agriculture and entrepreneurship.

The dialogue with the theme: Harnessing Youths potentials for the rapid socio-economic development of Katsina State attracted participants from the Bank of Industry (BOI), NIRSAL MFB, and the Bank of Agriculture (BOA).

It brought together over 500 young men and women including young people living with disabilities across the state.

Also in attendance were people that are making impact in leadership, innovations and entrepreneurship

The founder, Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Doro said: “The dialogue is a strategic convening of key stakeholders and young people to a unified platform to discuss effective actions and entry points for increased youth participation in agriculture and entrepreneurship because the emerging trend the world over is that wealth is now in the hands of the young men and women.

“The dialogue will also serve as capacity development engagement for young participants ready to take up leadership roles.”

He further said the discussants at the dialogue spoke to inspire young women and young men to discuss their perspectives on the future of their society, their role in societal development and to commit to taking responsibility as young leaders in their communities.

On his part, the CEO of YesHub, Ismail Bello, said: “Obstacles to success, steps and tips for a successful entrepreneurship, life vision, degree trap, and leadership issues were highlighted at the Katsina Youth Dialogue.

Start-ups and small business owners shared their challenges, and expert advice were given to them.
