Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State, Thursday, said his party, APC, will retain power in 2023 in the state because of the peace being enjoyed in the state.
He said the peaceful coexistence restored by the APC in the state was what gave people the confidence that the party would take the state to the Promised Land, adding that before the party took over there was no peace in the state.
He said: “The people of Plateau State know where we took over from and the difference we have made. There is substantial peace and more visitors and investors are coming to the state.”
Lalong stated this during the stakeholders’ meeting of the party in Jos, the state capital.
On the registration exercise, the governor urged stakeholders of the party to mobilise members at all levels and ensure that new persons are attracted to it.
