The registration of herdsmen illegally occupying the Ondo State forest reserves is expected to commence any moment from now.
A top source at the state ministry of agriculture told Daily Trust Wednesday that the framework was being worked out and it is expected to involve the ministry of agriculture, the police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and Amotekun corps.

According to him, the registration will commence as soon as possible.
The Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeder Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Ondo State branch, Alhaji Bello Garba, also told Daily Trust that their men were ready to cooperate with the state government.
He said the registration commences Thursday, adding that other agreements at the meeting with the state Governors on Monday will also be adjusted to.
