President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday commiserated with the Wali family of Kano State over the death of a former Minister of Agriculture, Alhaji Alfa Wali.
Buhari, in a statement by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, expressed sadness over the demise of who he called “an illustrious son”.

The president, who also condoled with the government and people of Kano State, said the former minister will be sorely missed by his community and the entire country.
He recalled that the deceased served the country as a permanent secretary in many ministries, including the Ministry of Defence.
Buhari, who urged comfort in the legacy of kindness, love and dedication to God, and country that he left behind, prayed that Almighty God remember his good works and grant his soul eternal rest.
