Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has no ambition to contest the 2023 presidential election, his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, has said.
Akase’s reaction followed calls by supporters and interest groups, some of whom have taken to the social media, calling on the governor to join the 2023 presidential race.
“The governor, however, wishes to state that his preoccupation at the moment is delivering good governance to the people of Benue State.

“Governor Ortom still has two and half years to complete his mandate as governor and is committed to greater service of the state,” Akase stated.
