As at Sunday evening, men of the 244 Battalion of the Nigerian Army, Asabari Barracks Saki, have taken over the two warring towns.

Our correspondent gathered that the clash was due to a plan to relocate a cattle market located at the border of the two communities to another location in Tede.

It was gathered that after that was resolved, the people of Tede waylaid the Hausa people who were bringing their cows to Ago-Are market forcing them to offload the cattle, which made the people of Ago-Are to embark on reprisal attacks with sporadic shooting.

He said two youths believed to be indigenes of Tede died from gunshots.

The Chairman of Ago-Are community, Alhaji Abdul Azeez Abdulkareem, who confirmed the incident to Daily Trust on phone, called on the youths to give peace a chance saying, “The two communities are of the same blood.”
