A community-driven anti-corruption initiative aimed at ensuring accountability through the mapping and tracking of constituency projects has begun in Kano.
The project, supported by The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation intends to mobilize communities and other civic agencies to advocate for robust implementation of key accountability processes, including co-creation frameworks enshrined in the Open Government Partnership (OGP) and other anti-corruption processes in the extant laws and administrative processes in Kano State.

Comrade Dr. Ibrahim M. Zikirullahi, the Executive Director, Centre for Human Rights and Civic Education (CHRICED), the implementing partners of the project, said annually the Nigerian government at the federal and state levels budgets huge sums of public resources for the purpose of executing constituency projects in various communities.
