Tragedy struck in Osogbo, Osun State capital, yesterday, as a hit-and-run car killed one person on a motorcycle.
The accident occurred near Sekona community along the Osogbo-Gbongan-Ibadan road Wednesday.

Eyewitnesses told Daily Trust that the motorcycle was hit by the vehicle and that the driver of the vehicle did not stop.
Operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) were seen evacuating the remains of the deceased and clearing the road.
The Sector Commander, Mrs Kudirat Ibrahim, confirmed the incident. She spoke through the Public Relations Officer of FRSC in the state, Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi.
The corpse of the man was taken to the mortuary at the Osun State University Teaching Hospital with an FRSC ambulance.
Ogungbemi said N6,800 was recovered from the victim. The FRSC ensured normalcy was restored on the road.
