How I killed my girlfriend for money ritual -Suspect

A 31-year-old man in Osun State, Tajudeen Monsuru has confessed that he killed his girlfriend, Mutiyat Alani for money ritual.

In a chat with Daily Trust, Tajudeen said he strangulated the lady to death the day she came to his house and that he cut her head for the ritual so as to become rich.

He said the relatives of the lady did not know that she visited his house and that no one suspected him when they were searching for her.

The parents of the lady reported the matter to the Divisional Police Headquarters in Iwo late last year and the deceased was declared missing.

The case was moved to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) at the police headquarters in Osogbo, the state capital for discreet investigation.

The Commissioner of Police in the State, CP Wale Olokode said the the suspect was arrested through intelligence led investigation.

Olokode said the suspect also killed one Akinloye Ibrahim and many other victims for money ritual.

He said the suspect also specialised in selling human parts to ritualists and herbalists.

The suspect explained that the killing of his girlfriend exposed him because he took her phone and sold it to someone.

Tajudeen said that he sold the phone of his late girlfriend for N2,000 and that policemen tracked the phone, apprehended the buyer and he led the Police detectives to him.

The decomposing bodies of the lady and the other victim were exhumed by police detectives and recovered as exhibits.

CP Olokode said efforts are on top gear to arrest other culprits currently at large, assuring that the suspects would be charged to court to face the full wrath of the law.
