Wives of FRSC officers storm motor park, beg drivers to shun dangerous driving

Wives of officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Friday stormed the popular motor park at Olaiya in Osogbo, Osun State capital and appealed to commercial drivers to shun dangerous driving.

The women under the auspices of Road Safety Officers Wives Association (ROSOWA) said they resolved to take the public enlightenment to the drivers as part of the efforts to reduce crashes and loss of lives on the roads.

They charged the drivers at the park to imbibe good behaviours and attitudes to driving so as to prevent accidents and enhance safety on the roads.
Speaking on behalf of ROSOWA, Mrs Fagbolagun Mojisola Sunnane advised drivers to imbibe discipline while driving so as to ease the work of their husbands.
“We are proud to marry FRSC officers.
“We are proud of their work. We are here to show solidarity.
“We believe that if drivers imbibe discipline while driving,  it will make the work of our husbands ease.
“That is why we are appealing to drivers to help prevent accident on our roads”.
The Sector Commander of the FRSC in Osun, Corps Commander Ibrahim Kudirat, lamented that the rate of crashes on the roads was unacceptable to the corps.
Kudirat said that roads crashes in the last ember months and the number of deaths were painful.
He said that the FRSC wants zero accident or death on the roads.
