The newly-elected Chairman of Kogi Local Government Council of Kogi State, Alhaji Isah Abdulkarim Sani, has urged his newly appointed aides to sit up, saying that there are big tasks ahead of them.
Sani, who was speaking during the inauguration of the supervisory councillors and special advisers at the local government secretariat on Wednesday, said the workload of the council can be surmounted if they work as a team.
He said it was the reason that the council painstakingly, with the support of the party’s leaders and stakeholders, decided to appoint competent hands to work in the council in order to deliver democratic dividends to the electorate across the local government.
“I will also want you all to know that you were appointed not because you are the only smartest ones, but it is destined that some of you will make the cabinet, “ he said.
The chairman, while congratulating the appointees, said his door would always remain open for any useful advice that will bring rapid development to the council.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, the newly appointed secretary of the local government, thanked the chairman for finding them worthy to work with him.
He assured that the new appointees will cooperate and work as a team for the betterment and development of the local government.
