The Commissioner of Police in Benue State, Mukaddas Garba, has said his command arrested and prosecuted at least 200 suspected cultists in the state last year.
Garba disclosed this on Wednesday in a chat with newsmen in Makurdi.

“In 2020, we prosecuted not less than 200 cultists. We also recovered weapons, charms and registers, which they used to initiate themselves,” he said.
The police commissioner called on parents to monitor their children and ensure that they are not idle, warning that anyone found wanting would be punished according to the state’s anti-cultism law.
