Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State says Nigerians are earnestly waiting for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to take over power at the federal level in order to enshrine good governance.
Governor Wike said this at the inauguration of the 11.53km Agbonchai-Afam road, connecting Eleme and Oyigbo LGAs performed on Wednesday by the former Senate Majority leader, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume.
The governor said Nigerians had increased their yearnings for good governance, improved economy and developmental projects that PDP had continued to provide in states under its control.
He said the hope of Nigeria depended on the PDP, and urged Senator Ndume and the APC to respect the wishes of Nigerians who are determined to return the PDP to power in 2023 to provide dividends of democracy.
Senator Ndume, who inaugurated the 11.53km Eleme-Afam road, said he felt truly humbled to perform the task and be part of what Governor Wike was doing in his state.
