Kano State Government, on Thursday, denied selling the state-owned Triumph Publishing Company (TPC), Daula Hotel and Shahuci car park among other property.

The state’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Muhammad Lawan, made the clarification while leading the government delegation on tour to the sites.

He said the properties in question were neither sold nor given out to private individuals for free.

“Contrary to what many people are insinuating, the Triumph Publishing Company, Daula Hotel, Shahuci car park were never sold.

“We entered into an agreement with private companies as Public-Private Partnership (PPP) to turn the places that were hitherto abandoned and used as miscreants’ hideouts for a better purpose,” the commissioner said.
