Bauchi Assembly donates truck to community mosque for conveyance of corpses

The Bauchi State House of Assembly has donated a truck to Ibrahim Bako Estate Juma’ah Mosque for the conveyance of corpses to cemeteries.

Presenting the vehicle to the community of the Estate at the Assembly Complex, Speaker, Abubakar Y Suleiman said the donation was in fulfillment of the pledge made by the Assembly during the commissioning of the Juma’ah Mosque.

The Speaker urged them to make good use of  the vehicle.

In his remarks, Deputy Speaker Hon. Danlami Ahmed Kawule thanked the assembly for the gesture to the community, which is part of his constituency.

Receiving the truck, Ward Head of Ibrahim Bako Estate, Dr Bala Musa Lukshi also thanked the assembly for redeeming its promise.

He said the truck would assist both the estate and residents of other neighbouring communities.

Speaker of the Bauchi House of Assembly, Abubakar Y Suleiman presented the key of the truck to the chairman of the mosque Committee, Abdulazeez Ibrahim.
