A 35-year-old man, Musa Salihu Osike, has been arrested for abducting a teenage girl in Nasarawa State.
He was arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command for allegedly abducting a 16-year-old girl, Fatima Salihu, a member of the First Aid Group of the Young Muslim Congress of Nigeria in Giza Development Area of Keana Local Government of the state.

The spokesman of the corps, Surajo Idris, said, “The suspect is alleged to be responsible for the sudden disappearance of the girl.
“He and the missing girl hail from Giza Development Area, he is the Commander of the First Aid Group in Keana Local Government.
“We investigated and found out that the suspect invited Fatima Salihu and some 10 other members of the aid group to accompany him to attend a naming ceremony in Lafia, after an hour at the venue of the naming ceremony, the suspect, Salihu Osike, took them to Unguwan Nungu in Lafia, the state capital for refreshments.
“He returned all of them to Giza in his vehicle but later called Fatima Salihu to come and collect a new phone he purchased for her. She reportedly left Giza for Lafia and since then, her whereabouts have remained unknown.
“The suspect was arrested after been on the run since the incident happened,” he said.
The NSCDC said that State Commandant of the First Aid Group, Alhaji Hassan Abdullahi has suspended him for the alleged act.
The suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed.
