A renown Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, has donated a plot of land to inkil Gawo community in Bauchi Local Government Area to enable the state government to build a primary school in the area.
Speaking at the flag -off of the construction of three blocks of classrooms by the State Universal Primary Education Board, SUBEB, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi said he donated the plot of land following a request by the community.
Sheikh Dahiru stressed the importance of seeking both Islamic and western education and urged the community to make the best use of the school.
Village Head of Inkil, Mallam Muhammadu, commended the scholar and the state governor for siting development project in the community.
A community leader in the Area, Alhaji Alamin Muhammad, said the project would put a stop to the suffering of their children who walked a long distance to attend school.
