Four National Youth Service Corps, (NYSC) members have tested positive for COVID-19 in NYSC orientation Camp in Keffi, Nasarawa State.
The director, Public Health, Nasarawa State Ministry of Health, Dr. Ibrahim Adamu, told Daily Trust that: ” I can confirm to you that a total of four NYSC Corps members have tested positive for the pandemic.

“We have taken samples and only four members are positive after their samples were taken and results returned to us,” he said.
A source said that the affected corps members are isolated at the Federal Medical Center, ( FMC ) in Keffi Local Government Area while the corps members have been camped in Magaji Dan-Yamusa NYSC orientation camp.
When contacted, the Coordinator of NYSC in the state, Mr. Steven Dewan, said: ” I know that the NCDC has taken samples.
“I am waiting for their results, simple.”
It could be recalled that corps members and camp officials were first profiled, then tested using the Rapid Diagnostic Test ( RDT) kit.
Where there is a positive result, it has to be confirmed with a Polymeric Chain Reaction ( PCR ) test.
