Osinbajo presides over 28th virtual FEC as Buhari participates from Daura

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is currently presiding over the 28th virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja.

President Muhammadu Buhari participates from his country home in Daura, Katsina State.

The meeting started with the Muslim prayer offered by the National Security Adviser, retired Major General Babagana Munguno, while the Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, said the Christian prayer.

The Permanent Secretary, Ecological Funds Office, Mrs Habiba Lawal, is standing in for the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, who is self isolating with his spouse after some members of his family tested positive to COVID-19.

The meeting is also being attended physically by the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, and 15 ministers.

The ministers are Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mohammed Bello, Education, Adamu Adamu, Agriculture, Sabo Nanono, Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, Aviation, Hadi Sirika, Defence, retired Major General Bashir Magashi, Environment, Mohammed Abubakar, Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi, Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva and Minister of State, Environment, Sharon Ikpeazu.

The Head of Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan and other ministers are participating in the weekly council meeting from their various offices in Abuja.
