Police brutality: Kaduna panel to commence public hearing in January

The judicial panel of inquiry into police brutality and other related extra-judicial killings in Kaduna State will commence public hearing on January 5, 2021, the chairman of the panel, Justice David Wyom, has disclosed.

Justice Wyom, a retired justice, said during the inaugural sitting in Kaduna that the panel would  sit on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Similarly, a member of the panel, Yakubu Umar Ibrahim said though the panel has received 28 petitions, more were being expected from local governments and urged the general public to feel free to come forward and lay their complaints promising that justice would be done to all victims.
