Counsel to Chief U. K. Yahaya and four others, Kami Asunogie, told the panel that in less than five minutes, SP John Agaga allegedly killed five of the youths of the community over a minor conflict between two neighbouring communities that could have been resolved amicably.
Meanwhile, a retired Chief Superintendent of Police, Carol Afegbai, who was accused of complicity in the killing of one Ibrahim Momodu, has dragged the panel to a Benin High Court.
Mrs Afegbai is challenging the panel’s right to compel her to appear before it to explain her alleged complicity in the murder of Momodu, a 500 Level student of University of Benin, in 2013.
The family of late Ibrahim had petitioned the panel accusing Mrs Afegbai, who was the then DPO of Ogida police state of complicity in the killing of their son by the police.
