40m Nigerians use smartphones – Jumia

About 40million Nigerians now use smartphones in the country, an online store, Jumia Nigeria has said.

Jumia in a virtual press briefing said the figure was an increase of 4m from 36m it got from a survey of Nigeria’s smartphone users conducted in 2018.

The Country Manager, Jumia, Omolara Adagunodo, disclosed that 67 per cent of Nigerians would be using smartphones by 2025.

“This showed that Nigeria still has a large market for smartphones’’, Adagunodo said.

According to her, the increase level of internet penetration would keep pushing number of smartphone users up.

She said Jumia remained the online store to beat its customers keep increasing by the day.
