Gunmen killed one person and abducted five others in Bwari-Sabo community in Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State.
A resident of the area, Shuaibu, said the incident happened around 2: 00 am on Thursday when the gunmen in their numbers armed to the teeth invaded the community.

He said the gunmen shot in every direction after they had combed some houses in the area, and a resident who attempted to escape through the back door of his house was shot dead instantly.
According to him, the kidnappers attacked three houses, killing one person while they took away five persons into the bush at gunpoint.
“The other victim who died actually attempted to escape through the back door, unknowingly, one gunman that was hidden at the back yard opened fire on him,” he said.
He said the deceased was taken to the hospital in the area where he was confirmed dead.
The Chairman of Tafa LGA, Ibrahim Mami Ijah, confirmed the incident through a telephone conversation with our reporter, but declined to speak further.
“Actually, the gunmen invaded Bwari-Sabo around 2:00 am this morning but I can’t speak much for now as I am in a sober mind,” he said.
Bwari-Sabo shares border with Bwari Area Council of the FCT.
