32-year old prince becomes Elepe of Epe-Ekiti

A 32-year old man,  Ayodeji Williams Adesoye, has ascended the throne of his fore-fathers as the new Elepe of Epe-Ekiti, in the Ijero Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Kayode  Fayemi called on Adesoye to tread the path of reconciliation with co-contestants for the stool and extend a hand of fellowship to them.

The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, also called on the indigenes of Epe Ekiti to cooperate with their monarch, saying that “experience has shown that no meaningful development can take place in an atmosphere of rancour and acrimony.”

Governor Fayemi made the remarks at the presentation of Staff of Office and Certificate of Appointment to Oba Ayodeji Adesoye.

The throne of the Elepe became vacant following the demise of Oba Emmanuel Agbeleoba of the Ogodulose Ruling House on 30th November 2018.

Oba Adesoye said he accepted the staff of office with the utmost sense of fulfillment and responsibility to open a new chapter in the history of his kingdom.
