Joint police, army team rescues kidnap victim in Nasarawa

A combined team of the Nigeria Police and Army have rescued a kidnap victim hours after he was taken in Nasarawa Eggon LGA of Nasarawa State.

According to a brother of the kidnap victim, Alhaji Jamilu Aga Muluku, “my brother, Sani Aga Muluku, was kidnapped around 10 o’clock on Wednesday when he was waiting for the gate of his house to be opened.

“Armed men who had laid an ambush pointed guns at him and abducted him.

“His family made distress calls to the security agencies, which responded and gave a hot pursuit through the route taken by the gunmen.

“He was abandoned by his abductors and the security agents found him near Alogani village in Nasarawa Eggon,” Alhaji Jamilu Muluku said.

He said the kidnap victim was conveyed back to his family by 2 am on Thursday.

When contacted, police spokesperson ASP Rahman Nansel said, “I can confirm to you that security agencies have continued a synergy to ensure and enhance security in the state. That was how we gave a hot pursuit and successfully rescued Sani Aga Muluku.”
