Worried by the continued attack by bandits, residents of Rafi LGA and adjoining communities have converged on Ahmadu Attahiru Secondary School, where special prayer session was held to seek Allah’s intervention on the persistent bandits’ attack on the people.

One of those who attended the prayer from one of the communities, who preferred anonymity,  said the prayer session was an initiative of the people of the area who had resolved to observe it constantly.

He added that the people were happy with the outcome of the prayer which he said resulted to less attack on the people by bandits, kidnappers and cattle rustlers.

He observed that government had played its role to curtail the excesses of the bandits, kidnappers and cattle rustlers.

Lives, properties and money were lost to the gunmen through ransom for abducted community members.

Rafi is one of the worst hit LGA, following attacks by armed bandits, cattle rustlers and kidnappers for some years now.
