The Minister of Power, Engr Saleh Mamman, has been conferred with the fellowship of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
NSE President Engr Babagana Mohammed, at the opening of the 16th Fellowship Conferment Lectures yesterday, said Saleh and 113 other conferees were selected after their documented records and submissions found them worthy in learning and practice “therefore, fit to be recognised as Fellows of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.”

He said the conferment had included them in the league of elite professionals who would deliver valuable services to the development of the nation.
“This day marks the commencement of a journey of responsibility for all of the new fellows. It will now become your duty to fly the banner of our society higher wherever you go,” he said.
He urged them to always conform to the dignity the fellowship bestows as they are duty bound to uphold and defend the standards and ethics in the society at large.
The chairman of the occasion, Engr. Felix Atume, urged the new fellows to abide by the ethics of the profession to excel in their endeavours.
On behalf of the new fellows, Elizabeth Oputeh, thanked the NSE for the honour and promised that they would at all times contribute to the value of a greater society.
