Atyap chiefdom organises workshop on trauma and mediation

The Atyap chiefdom of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area in Kaduna State has organised a one-day sensitisation workshop on trauma and mediation for members of the Peace, Reconciliation, Resettlement and Rehabilitation subcommittee.

Following months of attacks and counter-attacks in the area, a committee was established by the Agwatyap, Dominic Gambo Yahaya with the mandate of interacting with those directly affected by the insecurity to ensure their reintegration into communities.

Facilitated by Interfaith Mediation Centre, Kaduna, the workshop was also intended to train and fully equip members of the committee on the best way to go about the task before them.
