WAEC postpones WASSCE for private candidates to November 30

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced a change in timetable of the year 2020 second series of West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates.

The examination, initially scheduled to commence on November 14, 2020 has been rescheduled to commence on November 30, 2020.

A statement issued by the Ag. Head, Public Affairs WAEC, Nigeria, Demianus G. Ojijeogu on behalf of the Head of National Office, Mr. Patrick Areghan said that the change was due to circumstances beyond the Council’s control.

He reassured candidates that the new timetable for the conduct of the examination will be released soon.

“We regret any inconveniences this might cause our dear candidates and members of the general public,” the statement reads in part.
