The First Ladies Against Cancer has commissioned the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH) female wards to give conducive environment to those undergoing cancer treatments at the facility.
The wives of the governors of Kebbi State, Dr Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu and her Kwara State counterpart, Dr Olufolake Abdulrasaq represented the past and present first ladies that made up the group that renovated the female wards at the commissioning of the facilities.

Dr Bagudu in an interview, said both past and presents wives of the governors came together with common passion in tackling cancer through increased awareness, improved screening and diagnoses as well as increased access to treatment for Nigerian cancer patients.
Chief Medical Director, UATH, Prof. Bissallah Ekele who lauded the effort of the First Ladies said, cancer remains a big health challenge in the world.
