FCE Gombe re-opens for academic activities November 9

The Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe State on Wednesday directed students and academic staff to resume for academic activities with effect from Monday, November 10, 2020.

In a statement issued to newsmen, the Registrar of the college, Umar Muhammad Bello, said both students of National Certificates of Education (NCE) and those for the undergraduates and Continuing Education programmes are to resume for academic activities.

He said the college’s academic board resolved to recall students after an emergency meeting, following a directive by the Federal Government on safe reopening of Colleges of Education in the country.

The registrar added that before students are allowed entry into the college premises, they are required to strictly adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols as stipulated by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

He stated that proper preparation was made ahead of the resumption, to ensure that the students, academic and non-academic staffs alike are safe and protected from the virus when they eventually return.
