Ahead of resumption of all primary and junior secondary schools, Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board has embarked on the disinfection of all public primary and junior secondary schools in the state.
Executive Chairman of the board Aliyu Abubakar Maradun said the measure was part of the government’s resolve to ensure the safety of the pupils as they resume full academic activities on Monday.
He added that the management of the board has constituted a committee saddled with the responsibility of making sure that all schools under the board complied with the COVID-19 protocols as provided for by the federal government.
In a remark during the launching of the fumigation exercise, the Director, Primary Education, Alhaji Garba Abdullahi, said the decision to embark on the exercise became imperative as a way of providing not only secured but conducive teaching and learning environment for both the teachers and pupils.
The exercise was kicked off at Dade Model Primary School in Maru and was chaired by the Chairman House Committee on Education, Yusuf Alhassan Kanoma
