The Osun State Magistrate Court in Osogbo, on Tuesday, remanded three accused persons; Saheed Muslim, Kazeem Ganiyu and Olaleye Olawale, at the Nigeria Correctional Center for alleged armed robbery.
The police prosecutor, ASP Idoko John, told the court that the defendant robbed the residents of the Senator representing Osun West, Senator Adelere Adeyemi Oriolowo in Iwo, his country home on October 24, 2020 at about 7:00pm.

Idoko said the defendants did conspire among themselves to commit a felony and arm themselves with cutlasses, iron rods, sticks and other dangerous weapons and rob the senator.
He said they stole six plasma television set and other items valued N2million.
The offense, according to the prosecutor, was contrary to and punishable under section 1(1) and section 1(1)(2)(a)(b) of the Robbery and Firearms (Special provisions) Act Cap R|| Vol.14 Laws of Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them by the police and their lawyer, Taiye Tewogbade, raised objection to the charges.
Chief Magistrate M.A Awodele, remanded them and transferred the case to Iwo magistrate Court.
