The federal government has been urged to adopt a hybrid security arrangement in addressing the problem of kidnapping and banditry in the northwestern part of the country.
A member representing Gudu/Tangaza federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Yusuf Isa Kurdulla made the call while speaking to journalists on the activities of bandits in the two local government areas.
- Many feared dead as bandits attack Zamfara village
- 6 killed as Police, soldiers repel bandits’ attack in Katsina
According to Kurdulla, the government should adopt a very theoretical framework on security with qualitative methods to know the causes of kidnapping and other crimes to protect the lives of the innocent citizens of the areas.
